General Duties:

  2.   3. Completes job order analyses/job development records that describe hiring potential that meet agency consumer needs and their vocational goals.

  6. Markets employment opportunities in physical locations based on job seeker’s placement plan.
  7. Assists job seekers with their job search process by target marketing specific businesses that match job seeker’s vocational goals in order to complete job applications and assists job seekers with job interviews.  Provides individual instruction/guidance to job seekers on various job search strategies, such as wage negotiations, job history gaps, transferable skill and soft skill identification, etc…  Maintains job seeker resume files to refer to when target marketing for specific job seekers.
  8. Completes various recordkeeping requirements according to agency policy, such as community employment and follow-up reports, progress notes, employment summaries, etc…. 9. Qualifications:

General Duties:

  1. Conduct regular systematic job development and marketing activities with employers via, personal visits, telephone calls, e-mail and direct mail. Submit student’s resumes to employers via mail and e-mail, internet and personal visits. Target market new businesses in order to introduce them to agency employment services. Develop employment sites and potential community based work readiness experience sites. Target market established business contacts to maintain relationship, interest, and determine business employment needs/hiring trends. Educate employers on workers with disabilities, incentives, BGI programs, ADA regulations/reasonable accommodation. Recommend worksite and job modification when needed. Provide job coaches with ideas on training students.  
  2. Assist placement students in attaining their community employment goals by accompanying those students requiring individual assistance on job search; aiding with completion of job applications; aiding with transportation arrangements; and accompanying students on job interviews as needed.  Provide support, feedback and instruction on application completion, job search strategies, interviewing, and interview performance. Upon student hiring, coordinate with MCTA and/or BVR and arrange with employers for job coaching when needed. Conduct on-site 7, 30, 60 and 90-day employment follow-ups with newly hired student and employer when necessary. Aid new hires in overcoming employment barriers and employers in providing optimum assistance to students.
  3. Complete the necessary paperwork to track and document contacts along with job order/analysis when position is located. Document client progress in case file. Complete the necessary hire paperwork once employed. Also distribute Employer Satisfaction Questionnaires where appropriate. Track employer contacts.
  4. Work with Vocational Youth Coordinator to coordinate activities for students. Attend staffings as scheduled to maintain contact with students and provide information on job market and development activities. Attend staffings to provide feedback on community employment opportunities, possible community work assessment and adjustment sites, marketing research and labor market trends. Maintain contact with Vocational Youth Coordinator and provide necessary feedback on student progress, labor market opportunities, etc.

Title: Job Coach - Positions used on an as-needed basis.

Great income supplement.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience. Starting rate $9.00 to

$12.18 per hour to start; pro-rated leave benefits.

General Duties:

Provide on-site training to supported work clients. Assess behavioral strengths and deficits, implement behavior management techniques and collect progress ata. Conduct quality and production ratings. Participate in client team meetings. Maintain regular documentation on client's progress via progress reports and other case file information. Establish working relationship with employers to foster employment opportunities. Gradually decrease amount of training and allow the site supervisor to assume supervision. Provide "awareness of disability" training to client's employer and co-workers as needed. Coordinates referrals for supported employment and makes decision to accept or reject. Work with clients on job seeking skills training.

Qualifications:

Three years of college-level coursework in social services or education or three years of relevant experience required.  Experience in job coaching, mentoring, tutoring, teaching persons with disabilities a plus.  Excellent oral and written communication skills required.  Openings in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.  Adaptability, initiative, creativity, ability to plan and organize work and ability to work with adults who have barriers to employment.  Must have reliable transportation and be willing to use personal vehicle with at least state minimum insurance coverage to transport client workers.  Proof of insurance is required.  Also must be willing to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and occasional midnights.
