WHAT:     Fifth Annual Chef's Secrets - benefiting

                   Sojourner House Domestic Violence Program

WHEN:    4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2008

WHERE:   Holiday Inn Metroplex

Please join us for an evening of good food, education and fun featuring the Mahoning Valley 's excellent commercial and private chefs. In attempt to take advantage of our nation's interest in unique food items and their preparation techniques, we will be offering cooking classes.

The evening will be set up like a seminar where participants can attend four different cooking classes:

Session One        Appetizers

Session Two       Salads and side dishes

Session Three     Main courses

Session Four       Desserts

Our goal is to give our participants six or seven choices each session. They will choose their schedule. The registration brochure will have the name of the chef, his or her affiliation and the item he or she will demonstrate. We want our participants to leave the event with the feeling that they truly learned something different.

Each session will last a half an hour and then the participants will go to the ballroom to eat their course. We envision couples and friends going to different sessions and meeting back in the ballroom to share their food while listening to relaxing dinner music.

There will be a program booklet with the recipes from all of the sessions. We will have an expo area and some of the exhibitors will be giving out samples. There will be a Chinese Auction, Silent Auction, a 50-50 raffle and a cash bar.
